The first harp camp will focus on preparation for international competitions, auditions, and examinations; with practical tips such as how to break through any difficulties, manage repertoires, and memorise music quickly.  *Participants of HK camps can join the Shenzhen camp at a discount.

About Hong Kong Camp and Schedule

Participants can attend daily masterclasses by the world-renowned harpist Alexander Boldachev, who will be joined by guest tutor and speaker, Tjasha Gafner. On the last day of the camp, in addition to the students performance, Alexander and Tjasha will also perform and give sharing sessions.


16 April

Arrival at Hong Kong. Participants can choose to join on-site accommodation (at TownPlace West Kowloon), or arrange their own accommodation.


17-20 April

10am-7pm Daily masterclass and Q&A sessions with Alexander Boldachev, plus option to choose to practise in another room anytime, or request a private lesson with Tjasha Gafner (booking required, subject to availability).


18 April

7:30-9pm [Optional] WestK FunFest 2025: CORPUS – La bulle|Art Park (*Outdoor performance)


19 April or 20 April

2:30pm or 5:30pm [Optional] Tea House Theatre Experience|Xiqu Centre (Chinese opera experience)


21 April

10am-12pm Sharing session by Tjasha Gafner, and lecture by other industry professionals

3:30/4pm (exact time TBC) Gala concert (by all students, together with Alexander and Tjasha), followed by networking drinks


 

Optional trip to Shenzhen


Participants of the Hong Kong Camp can also choose to have a relaxing and fun seminar plus semi-private masterclasses by Alexander Boldachev in the VIP lounge of Wanxia Zhongxin 灣廈中心 in the Houhai area 后海. Participants will have to book their own accommodation in Shenzhen.

Tuition fees and accommodation packages


  • Performing students*:

    • Hong Kong Camp (tuition fee only) - HK$9,000

    • Shenzhen Camp (tuition fee only) - HK$ 6,000

    • Hong Kong + Shenzhen Camps (tuition fee only) - HK$ 12,000

    *10% deposit will be collected upon sign-up.


  • Audience only:

    • Single-day ticket (free pass on the same day) - HK$ 600

    • Weekly ticket (free pass during 5-day period) - HK$ 1,200


  • Accommodation add-on provided by our hotel partner in Hong Kong:

    • Shared Room (4 nights, 17-21/4) - HK$ 5,000 / (5 nights, 16-21/4) - HK$ 6,500

    • Private Room (4 nights, 17-21/4) - HK$ 6,400 / (5 nights, 16-21/4) - HK$ 8,000

*Accommodation by our hotel partner is only available in Hong Kong. Participants of the Shenzhen Camp will have to book their own accommodation in Shenzhen.


International and local students are both welcome:

For international students, we provide booking options with on-site accommodation included.

For local students, it is possible to choose from commuting daily to the venue, or enjoying the on-site accommodation to build closer connection with other participants.


Overseas participants under the age of 18 must travel with a parent / legal guardian. When signing up, please select "Private Room" from the accommodation options. This also applies to local students under 18 who choose to stay on-site overnight.
